Ceramics and glass
Vacuum Surtec surface coatings on ceramics and glass, developed by our laboratories and achieved after protracted and constant efforts into applied research by the company, are the result of an able combination of chemical compounds with exceptional characteristics, technologically identified as "fine ceramic film", produced 100% in-house using well-researched processes and machinery.

The main features characterising the process and ceramic-based treatment, known as MetalCer, are:
- high level hardness intrinsic to the coatings (up to ten times superior to precious metal finishes for some MetalCer treatments);
- strong coating adhesion;
- exceptional resistance to chemical aggression from all domestic products;
- strong resistance to wear: practical usage testing with normal domestic products (detergents, abrasive powders and emulsions, solvents) show outstanding resistance to repeated rubbing tests;
- chemical stability and colour fastness practically unlimited;
- non-toxic, biocompatible, non-allergenic, anti-transfer layer providing a barrier effect (titanium-based coatings are FDA-USA approved for biomedical and food industry applications);
- surface reproducibility: the plating processes are 100% computer-managed;
- ultrafine standard film thickness that does not alter the original appearance of the surface (polished, matt, satin-finish, etc.) and applicable on any structure, even of complex shapes.
The following are included in the same category as MetalCer ceramic coatings:
MetalGlass - glass-based Vacuum Surtec surface coating;
MetalOx - high-photocatalytic activity Vacuum Surtec surface coating achieved by titanium bioxide plating using an exclusive PATENTED process.
