TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL

TECHNICAL TREATMENTS

TO REDUCE WEAR AND INCREASE FUNCTIONALITY.

Coatings provided for technical applications are designed to enhance the properties of the treated equipment and items. The application of a thin film using the PVD and PACVD techniques can improve the hardness of the material and the product’s durability, in particular its resistance to chemicals and high temperatures, with certain treatments providing protection up to 500°C.
Another improvement is a reduced frictional coefficient, which is very important for the efficient operation of many machines and devices. The result is reduced wear on components, extending the average operating life.

Improved performance can be achieved with our PVD treatments for items including:

  •   Mechanical cutting devices: gear hobs, bits, mills, threading tools, and insert cutters.
  •   Hot and cold forming devices: moulds and dies.
  •   Precision mechanical components: valves and pumps.
  •   Components for pressure die-casting aluminium.
  •   Titanium alloy components for racing and aeroplane engines.
  •   Components for automatic machines with high processing rates.
  •   Moulds for hot forming plastic.

OUR MAIN TREATMENTS

CrN

High durability and low frictional coefficient, good corrosion resistance. Ideal for plastic processing tools.

TiN

Very good chemical stability with low frictional coefficient, making it a versatile and multifunctional treatment.

DLC

Extreme hardness and chemical stability together with a low frictional coefficient. Widely used to reduce long-term wear.
